Part-Time Non-Alcoholic Bartender

About Us: Ceremony

Ceremony is a non-alcoholic bottle shop and lounge in Norfolk, VA, created to celebrate community, experimentation, and the ritual of gathering. Our bar and kitchen are intimate by design: a 15-seat dining room, a 63 sq. ft. bar, and a deeply intentional approach to hospitality.

Our beverage program reflects our values—creative, ingredient-driven, seasonal, sustainable, and grounded in care. We believe NA cocktails deserve the same rigor, craft, and artistry as traditional mixology, and we’re building a team that shares that belief.

As we grow, we aim to develop a long-term partnership with the right team members—supporting their professional development, creativity, and future goals.

The Role: Part-Time Non-Alcoholic Bartender

We are seeking a thoughtful, skilled, and curious bartender to join our team and help shape our alcohol-free beverage experience. This person will work closely with the Proprietor and Executive Chef to execute a seasonal menu, craft non-alcoholic versions of classic cocktails, and provide warm, attentive service to our dining room guests.

This role blends creativity with discipline: part beverage technician, part host, part service anchor for a small but high-intentionality dining room.

The position requires developing a general understanding of other items for sale in the space and ringing those up along with drink and food orders.

The Vision
  • Craft: Cocktails built with precision, balance, and beautiful presentation.
  • Seasonality: Ingredients that shift with the kitchen’s quarterly menu.
  • Innovation: Infusions, syrups, reductions, NA spirits, ferments, and more.
  • Accessibility: Making NA cocktails exciting and familiar to guests new to the category.
  • Pacing and Calm: Guests understand that craft takes time quality comes before speed.
You will be the face of this vision from behind the bar.
